Additional Documents Upload
This guide explains how to upload additional documents for an Alberta entity when a transaction was completed outside the Ingenio platform. The example video above demonstrates how to upload additional documents for a 2022 Annual Return completed outside the Ingenio application, using an example entity called “AB 1103A Ltd.”
In the video, you will submit a request for an Ingenio onboarding specialist to enter the data on your behalf. Once the update is complete, the entity will be returned to you in the Entities table for review and approval, allowing you to verify that the additional transaction and documents were added successfully.
Before You Start
Make sure:
- All documents are saved in PDF format.
- You may upload one or multiple files.
- You are working with an Alberta entity in Ingenio.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Log in to the Ingenio application.
- Locate the entity in your Entities table. Click the entity name to open its profile.
- Click the Virtual Minute Book tab.
- Click the Correction Mode button.
- Select “Yes – Upload additional documents.”
- Click Start Correction.
- Click Browse and choose the PDF file(s) you want to upload.
- Click Submit. You will now enter the Correction Mode screen, which displays your entity’s existing information.
- Confirm your documents appear. Your uploaded document(s) will appear in the upper-left corner of the screen.
- ⚠️ Important: Changes made in Correction Mode directly update your entity profile. If you prefer, you can have an Ingenio specialist complete this for you.
- Click the Request Ingenio Review button at the bottom of the screen.
- An Ingenio onboarding specialist will:
- Add your documents
- Enter the required transaction(s)
- Return the entity to you for approval
- Once Ingenio has completed the update, the entity will reappear in your Entities table with status: “Review.”
- An Ingenio onboarding specialist will:
- Click Review. Review the updated information.
- Click Approve. Refresh the Entities table and open the entity profile to confirm everything is complete.
⚠️ Important Notes:
Annual Returns do not appear on the entity profile page yet. You can view them under Transaction History (as shown in the video). In the future, you may complete uploads independently using Correction Mode. Training materials will be available if you would like to do so.
